A Study of Exodus

Sermon Series by Pastor Halbrook

For the next several months Pastor Halbrook will preach on Exodus, the second book of the Bible.  This book tells of Egypt's harsh policy toward Israel and the escape of the Israelites from their bondage.  It follows the career of Moses from his marvelous birth through his exile. It continues with his victorious contest with Pharaoh, in which Moses is God's spokesman, and ends with the Egyptian debacle at the Red Sea.

We will experience the march of the Israelites through the wilderness to Mount Sinai, the institution of the Passover, the giving of the Ten Commandments, directives for the construction of the Tabernacle, and other religious and ceremonial legislation.

Join us on Sundays (10:30 am) as Pastor Halbrook takes us through the book of Exodus.

A Study of James

Sermon Series by Pastor Taylor

Beginning June 22, Pastor Taylor will begin a sermon series from the New Testament book of James entitled "What Does Faith Look Like?"  James believed that deeds demonstrate the genuineness of faith.  Therefore the way that believers live must correspond to the claims they make for their faith.  The book of James is eminently practical and full of vivid exhortations to godly living.

James offers counsel on issues like trials, poverty and riches, favoritism, social justice, the tongue, worldliness, boasting, planning, prayer, illness and much more.  Join us as we find the answers to the question: What does faith look like?

Join us on Sundays (10:30 am) as Pastor Taylor takes us through the book of James.

ETS (Equipping the Saints)

Sundays - 6:00pm

Informal discipleship on topics such as evangelism, prayer, living the Christian life, etc. taught by various, gifted teachers. Here's an opportunity to address the spiritual skills you need to prepare yourself to serve in the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4 declares that the ultimate work of the church, in the world, is to be done by the saints--plain, ordinary, Christians--and not by a professional clergy or a few select laymen.  ETS is much more than another church activity. It is your opportunity to develop as a believer so that you can be effective in ministry.

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, . . .” (Ephesians. 4:12).
