Prayer Team Ministry
| At Parkway Baptist Church, we believe prayer to be a source for salvation, healing, reconciliation, guidance, life change and much more. We understand the power of intercessory prayer and we believe such prayer is not our option, but rather our duty as Christians. |
We have no greater responsibility than to pray. It is a life-support behavior. We need to pray for the sick, the underpriviledged, and the lost. We need to pray for our ministries, for our services, and for our ministers. We need to pray against forces of evil. We need to pray for the leaders of our country. We need to pray for families and marriage. We are asking God to raise up a group of prayer warriors to lead our church in this ministry. As His temple, the New Testament church should be a powerhouse of prayer. So we have created our prayer chain ministry to orchestrate the hearts of Parkway members in a symphony of intercession. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." |
