One Step At A Time

KPBC VBS - SignThe Kessler Park Vacation Bible School was blessed in every way.

We want to thank everyone who prayed, walked the neighborhood streets, gave to the “yard sale” and school supply give-away that the church sponsored. We would also like to thank everyone who served at VBS.

What a joy it was to be at Kessler Park on Saturday, when people came prepared to pay for their items, but were told the items were offered to them freely in the name and love of Jesus.  Everyone who came was given New Testaments and the children were given school supplies, along with an invitation to VBS.

At the “yard sale” a 10 year old girl said “I’ve never been to a church before. “  That precious child came to VBS each night and is now attending the newly established Sunday School class for children at Kessler Park.  Two Parkway members are KPBC VBS - Snackteaching the class, and two Kessler Park members are observing.  For the past two Sundays, the children have recited a memory verse in the children’s sermon time during the worship hour.  Please pray that God will use these times for His honor and to bring these young people and their families to Christ.

The book, A Chance to Die, about Amy Carmichael, missionary to India, states:

Amy Carmichael - quote

Each Parkway member who has served at Kessler Park has these wonderfully amazing “little stories of one or two” that are truly not little at all, but certain evidences of God’s loving hands moving.

John 15:5 and the words to the Vacation Bible School theme song summarize Parkway’s mission’s involvement at Kessler Park Baptist Church:

♪ ♫ One step at a time, only one step at a time,
This is the way the Lord will lead you,
One step at a time.
Take that one step carefully,
walk that one step prayerfully.
This is the way to victory, one step at a time. ♪ ♫
