Inner City Ministry Report
Jul 24, 2009
Jesus taught His disciples to serve one another, and demonstrated altruistic service by washing their feet. The example He gave His disciples is ours to follow.

We felt God’s pleasure this week as we made a few adjustments and additions to the Kessler Park Baptist Church auditorium. Our tuner worked on their piano, and we installed a replacement sound system.

Our missions team is now leading a search for precious souls who will hear the gospel through Vacation Bible School. Betty, Dianne and Joyce have scheduled an evening school for Monday through Wednesday, August 10-12, from 6:00 to 7:45. Parkway members will distribute flyers from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in the area south of the church property, on July 24, 25, 31 & August 1. Contact Joyce Hulkenberg to volunteer. We especially need some men for this project.

David Kuykendall, pastor of Kessler Park Baptist Church, informed us this week that KPBC will be hosting a school-supplies give away, Saturday, August 8, from their parking lot. They are inviting us to participate, so if you would like to volunteer for this outreach ministry, please contact Joyce Hulkenberg.

Our Lord Jesus has given us the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-40), the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20), and Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). So let’s pray to the Lord of the harvest, and respond as His Spirit thrusts us forth.

Finally, please pray that God will call a few Dallas Theological Seminary students to make Kessler Park Baptist Church the focus of their ministry while they are in Dallas. KPBC is only a fifteen-minute drive away from their campus. Pray also that God will move other suburban churches to join us in this inner-city ministry.
God Bless You,
Jerry
