Standing Stone
Nov 20, 2009Regardless of which direction you approach our church campus you can see the new worship center standing tall long before you arrive. I like to think of it as a "Standing Stone", even if it is mostly steel right now. In the old Testament, we see many examples of where God's people would use a large stone to mark a place where something significant happened at the hands of God. They did this so that when someone new to the area came along and asked why the stone was standing, they could tell them what God had done. Likewise, when people new to our area see our "standing stone" we can tell them not only what God has done, but what He continues to do today.
The roof should be completed by the end of the week if the weather holds. Within a couple of weeks they should be laying brick. The auditorium and choir chairs are ordered and should arrive sometime in late March. We are slightly behind schedule due to weather, however, once the building is dried in we should get back on schedule rather quickly.
Please continue to pray for the project and remain faithful to the giving as the Lord has blessed you.
