Ms. Elizabeth Smiley is ninety-five years old. She moves about either with the aid of her walker or her wheelchair. To prevent contracting influenza during the winter months, her doctor encouraged her to stay at home on Sundays. Knowing how much Ms. Smiley loves the Lord, His Word and His people, we can understand why she asked for a CD ministry. She wants to hear the singing and the preaching.
Though she doesn’t get out as much as she used to, she’s still a mover and a shaker. She spoke to a few of her close friends and gathered the funds to create a CD ministry. Through her vision we now have the messages recorded and ready for distribution soon after the worship service.
Tim Benners, one of our deacons, gives direction to the technical team and leads this CD ministry. If you need a copy of the message to give to a shut-in, or just to keep for yourself, speak to Tim after the service. The cost of the recordings will be covered for our shut-ins, but if you want one for yourself we encourage you to contribute a couple of dollars per copy.
God bless you for moving and shaking, Ms. Elizabeth Smiley!
