Ushering & Greeting Ministry

We are always looking for new ways to create a gracious atmosphere for our guests by offering them a sense of warmth and a deep spirit of joy, while making them feel at home in our church.  The Greeters and Ushers are the

"front liners" in this mission.

The Greeter's visibly demonstrate our church's commitment to authentic community by welcoming all who enter our doors, and extending a personal touch of warmth to all who choose to worship at Parkway.  The Usher's greet worshipers and hand out bulletins at the sanctuary entrance, and assist with seating and

collecting the offering.

At our last deacon’s meeting one of our men told about the first person he met at Parkway. It was Leo Harrington. Leo has now gone to heaven, but he served Parkway faithfully for many years as an usher and a deacon. He made such a loving impression on people that they were drawn to the church.

Now every Sunday Jesse and Betty Saenz stand at the entry ways greeting all who come in. Theirs is the first expression of God’s love that we feel when we enter the buildings. We thank God for their loving service.
